What’s New? The Products I Sampled This January

I love trying new products, and I get a real buzz out of finding new things, or buying a little decadent treat for myself. This month, I tried a few different sample sized products, and thought that I’d share my finds with you.

Garnier Skin Active Moisture Bomb 3-in-1 Day (£5.33)

Given as a sample, I figured this product would be a reliable product, since Garnier stuff is pretty good, but actually it it’s a lot better than expected. It’s meant to work as a deep hydrating moisturizer, with some anti-wrinkle & sun protection, which it does. But the words Moisture Bomb are apt! It seems thick at first but melts right into your skin, leaving it feeling all plump, healthy and hydrated. I’d normally expect this from a much more expensive product.

loreal-revitalift

L’Oreal Revitalift Laser Renew Double Action (£15.00)

I love the fancy pseudo-scientific names that brands give to their products. This one is particularly futuristic, and has this cool double bottle that when you press the pump you get a mix from the two chambers, with a product for the surface and another for the deeper layers of your skin. Pretty cool, but does it work? The rumours out there are that this product has the same power and effect of the £200 pound products. I’m not really convinced. As a moisturiser it’s good, but I didn’t notice any huge results. Maybe you have to use it consistently for a while to see them.

dove_colour_care_shampoo_conditioner

Dove Colour Care Shampoo and Conditioner (250mL £2.69 ea)

I’ve always really liked Dove products, from way back when I was a kid and my mother used Dove soap bar. Their products work, their advertising campaigns are really empowering, and they generally smell really nice. I normally use a colour care and revitaliser from L’Oreal, but when I was given this sample, I thought I’d try it. Anything to help keep my hair from drying out in Winter! This shampoo and conditioner deeply moisturises your hair, and helps your colour fresh, so it’s another win for Dove products in my book.

roques-oneil-bath-salts

Roques O’Neil Therapie Himalayan Detox Salts (100g £10 )

This product I was sent in a beauty box subscription a few months back, but only tried it out recently. Roques O’Neil has a range of products for simple detox and aromatherapy style pampering, and these salts are meant to have a detoxing effect. The salts are from the Himalayas and infused with a mix of minerals, and apparently dusted with amethyst powder. I didn’t notice any detox effect personally, but these salts are delightfully relaxing. Toss a handful in under the running water in your tub, and soak yourself calm in the delicious scent. Lovely.

I think I might try the Garnier moisturizer. I have been looking for a good one. But, I haven’t found the one that will suit my skin. Do you think this is ok for someone who has oily skin? Love this article dear. Good post. XO ❤
