OOTD: Old School Leopard Print & Maybelline 24karat Makeup

I guess this is a bit of a flirty, 60’s look, I wore it to a press screening and dropped into the National Gallery in London, too. It’s just dressed up enough to go places, without feeling overly dressed. Feline eyes from the Maybelline 24 Karat Eyeshadow palette, and soft pink lips in a vintagey pink with their new Intense Lip Paint. I promised you guys that I’d review my Maybelline purchases, I do that here.

This leopard print, button down shirt is so fitted. I picked it up a few years ago, because I love how fun leopard print makes me feel. It’s kind of sexy but also very retro and a bit tacky if you don’t know how to pull it off. To me, it just screams 1950’s and 60’s screen siren.

Paired with this crazy cute little blush pink skirt, with the ruffle at the hem, bang on trend for Spring. This is from Boohoo.com, and was something like £4! Can you believe that? (I’m sorry I can’t get better full body shots, I was taking pictures inside, and it can be kind of a nightmare) The skirt has a little stretch, so it moves with you, like a pencil skirt, but the colour and the fluttery hemline keep it fun.

If you want this look, you’ll need these:Maybelline 24 Karat Nudes Eye Shadow Palette, which is the latest in their Nudes ranges and retails at about £10. It’s a bargain, I think. The colours are true and long lasting, and they’re laid out in such a way that you can pair them, use trios or quads. And the shades… Lovely. They blend beautifully, and have a more luxe range than the other nudes palettes.

Finally, the Maybelline Baby Lips Balm & Blush Flirty Pink £3.99, which is a cute bubble of pink for lips and cheeks. I think I’m now sold on the whole Baby Lips range, because they’re really moisturing and the colours are subtle. This one is a bubble gum pink, which gives a subtle but healthy, happy blush to the cheeks. You can build colour with extra layers in a really great way, and it’s easy to use. It looks great on lips too. But the lip colour here is Maybelline Color Drama Intense Lip Paint Never Bare Down 110 £4.99, which is a soft, light rose pink, which I think looks really vintage 60’s, at least on my skin tone. I really love this product and I’m thinking about getting a few shades. You just squeeze on a little, and the colour is true and thick, build able, but also lasts. I think it’s really flattering, and texture wise is a bit like a full lip gloss, or a liquid lipstick. Huge fan.
