OOTD Anything Flamingoes: Summer look for a long weekend

It feels like Spring is finally here, and the sun is shining at last. As I write this, I’m sitting in the sun, typing away by the window, with a gentle breeze blowing. I can finally wear the lighter items in my wardrobe, and I’m so happy. I love all things flamingo, and I felt like styling this top in a slightly vintage, tropical way.

This vest top is from Brave Soul, and paired with jeans from Levi’s, folded up to make Capri pants. Easy breezy.

These earrings are vintage, my mother’s from the 80’s, and I love them! They’re huge and dramatic, and made out of bamboo so really light.

Accessories make the outfit: this wooden bangle I picked up at a charity store years ago. I have quite a few of these bangles, in different colours and made from different materials.

I love how old school white sunglasses always look. I bought these years ago, vintage Johnathan Sceats, because I thought they were kind of Jackie O style. I’m not sure that they are, but I think they’re really fun.

A note about makeup, my lipstick is from Givenchy, shade 202, a flattering pink coral. Blush from Borjois in 33 Lilas D’Or (I love Borjois blushes!) and eyeshadow from Stila Eyes Are The Window shadow palette in Spirit.

These pink mid-heels with a bow detail are so comfortable, and really fun. They look vintage, but they’re actually from Hobbs.

So, this is me at this time of year, going for fun, vintage inspired looks and throwing in anything flamingo where ever I can and hoping the sunshine lasts. I love mixing up my wardrobe with fun finds. Do you go thrift shopping? Vintage shopping? Raid your mum’s earrings? Or is it just me? Comment below, I always love to hear what you think and where you shop.

    1. Thank you! It’s really comfortable too! Trade markets and vintage shops are great. I feel like thrift stores are really hit and miss. The ones in my neighbourhood are pretty good, but near my last place, they were mostly trash.
