Smokey eyed beauty look, and a bardot/denim style.

I love a smokey eyed look! This one using Lancome eye shadow palette is great because it has black with shimmer through it, as well as pink tones to really make it pop.
Everything you need to create this look is below.

I love Lancome make up. It’s really long lasting, the pigments are true to colour, and the quality is brilliant. In this palette is Latte, Off The Rack, The New Black and Snap. I start with using the Latte shade all over the lid up to the brow, then follow with the pink shade off the rack over the lid. Then Snap, the soft lavender shade I work into the crease, with the black metallic shade in the outer corner of the eye, and blended. (This palette is quite old, but you can still find the shades at their makeup counters)

Liquid liner gives the look definition, I’m using Borjois Mega Liner in 01 Dark Black at the moment, because I like the pen shape, it’s easy to apply. For brows, I use Rimmel Eyebrow Pencil in 002 Hazel. I also currently use Max Factor Voluptuous False Lash Effect in Black, which I was given in a product trial, and I really like it.

With a smokey eye a flawless base is really important, or you can look very old and tired. I start with Le Blanc De Chanel as a primer, just a little goes a long way, but it really brightens the complexion. Since I’m so pale, it’s hard to find a foundation that looks natural,  I use DiorSkin Forever in 020. Use these two and you’ll look fresh and healthy all the time. I used a soft blush here, Borjois little pot blush in 33 Lilas d’Or, it’s got a natural rosey glow to it. (In the Lancome Palette the blush is Blush Subtil in Violet Sunrise, which is a lovely shade, but because I was planning on wearing black, I felt it was a little too muddy)

Finally, a bright lip, Rimmel The Only 1 lipstick in 610 Cheeky Coral, with a slick of Stay Glossy lip gloss over the top, in 160 Stay My Rose. You really don’t want to play up lips and eyes with this look, so I use the Coral shade softly to give my lips colour, and then tone it down with lip gloss.

I normally don’t use Barry M nail polish, but I loved the colour, and found that it’s actually really long lasting! They’re so cheap, I wasn’t expecting such good quality. This shade is 528 In A Heart Beat, a nice pastel pink.
