From blush tones to dusky warm pink, the shade to be seen in this season is pink. Whether head to toe, Barbie style, or just touches, it’s THE colour to be seen in. Pink is a great colour because it feels so feminine, though I know most women have bit of a love/hate relationship with it and for Spring it feels light and fresh. Here I created a simple makeup look and outfit with pink shades, in case you needed a little outfit inspiration for the season.
Pink is flattering for all skin types, if you find the right shade. And depending on how bold you are, you can find your unicorn bold brights out there, but I opt for a more soft, subtle look here. This little pallete, Collection Eyes Uncovered Palette Nude Rose
retails from about £3.99. It’s shades are really versatile, you can mix them to create something subtle and pink, a little more peachy and nude or a pink smokey eye. So it’s a great buy for the new season, especially if you are wary of pink, because at £4 it’s not big cash outlay.
I kept the look pretty casual here, but pink does as well for night or for day. A soft pink vest pops with colour, this one from a selection at H&M, and a crisp white shirt tones it down, if you’re not ready to bare pale skin yet. Again, this one is H&M and retailed for about £10, and you can tuck it in, tie it up, raoll up the sleeves, whatever you like. Grey skinny jeggings from New Look £15, these styles aren’t going away and look great teamed with pumps or tucked into boots if it’s still chilly where you are.
Candy, doughnuts, unicorns and glitter… It’s all things girly lately, and I didn’t expect to love it all as much as I do! But then, when are unicorns ever a bad thing? It’s all pink sugar sweet!
Finally, finish off your pink look with details. Ciate nail polish £12 in Fade To Greige is a wonder. It’s a grey that’s kind of a lavendar colour too. And it’s big this season, going so well with nudes, pinks or the embellished looks that are in right now. Rimmel Vinyl Lip Gloss like this one have sadly been discontinued, but you can find them online. However the pinks in the Oh My Gloss range are second to none, and I love them. And at around £5 they’re a steal! Look out for the shade Rimmel London Oh My Gloss in Ooh la la
, the perfect bright pink.
I’m more of a blue girl, but nice read. 🙂
