MOTD: Soft, floral tones with Colourpop Making Mauves palette.

A new eyeshadow palette is always cause for happiness in my house. I was pretty excited when I saw Colourpop’s Making Mauves palette because it has plenty of colours that I love, all in flattering mauve shades. I like mauve because it’s not too purple, not too pink. I feel like it’s feminine and floral, but not in a too bold way. I feel like I could wear this palette everyday, and the shades have enough variety to make a range of looks, from bold to soft, day to night.

I’m not actually picking my nose in this photo. lol. It just happens that you can see what the shades look like a little better here. I love the way Colourpop makes shades that are really true to the pan and that have bold colour pay off. They’re such great quality and so creative and fun, but as a reasonable price point. I have a few things from Colourpop now and I’m never disappointed. For this look, I used R&R all over the lid, then Tongue Tied in the crease, Big Fig in the outer corner and a tiny bit of Marquee. The Mauve on Top as a sparkly shade over the centre of the lid. There are so many things you can do with this palette, and I’ve tried out a few different things with it. I’m a bit obsessed.
