I loved Corduroy bear when I was a kid. The book A Pocket For Corduroy was a favourite bed time book of mine, where he accidentally gets lost at the laundromat and goes on a little adventure. I didn’t realise that he was a bit of an institution, a wise and funny little fellow who touched the hearts of other children and adults too, and who, being owned by a beautiful African American girl called Lisa, was a rare representation of black people in children’s literature.

So, when I saw that the awesome people at Out Of Print had a range of Corduroy items, I had to get this tee. Out of Print have loads of book themed items, and I love that their tees come in all shapes and sizes. I’m a curvy petite girl, I cannot wear crew neck tees. But Out of Print has V and scoop necks. And their tees are soft, excellent quality and they donate to some great causes too. This tee is $30 and I wear a size M in this style. Shop HERE.

Also, if you are an adult Corduroy fan, there’s this cute book about the Wit and Wisdom of Corduroy HERE as well, which is a fun little pick me up.
Anyone else a Corduroy fan? What was your favourite picture book as a kid?
Lovely! I adored that book as a kid! I’ll have to put this on my Christmas wish list.
