I love trying new products and buying new makeup, and I’m constantly reading blogs, Vogue and seeing what’s new in store. But there are some things that I’d never change and that I go back to again and again. I thought it was time I shared them with you.
Loreal Skin Perfection Micellar Water
I was sent this as a trial product a few years ago when it first came out, and I was really impressed. It really does remove makeup with ease, breaking it down so that you don’t have to rub at your skin, and it’s not harsh at all. I use it twice a day during my moisturising routine, and my skin it always healthy.
Le Blanc De Chanel Multi-Use Illuminating Base
Some of you may actually be sick of hearing how much I love this product. It’s not cheap, but I only have to buy it about every 8 months, it lasts for ages, and it perfects your skin under makeup, making your foundation last, giving you dewy healthy skin, and a beautiful glow.
Diorskin Forever Flawless Perfection Fusion Wear Makeup in 020
I love the foundations from Dior and Chanel. They’re the absolute best. I do try others, but always come back to these. I use Chanel powder normally but I actually don’t have any right now. But this foundation I use everyday. It’s actually the perfect shade for my pale skin, a little goes a long way, it blends beautifully, looks natural, and doesn’t clog pores. I love it.
Loreal Elvive Smoothe And Polish Aqua Serum For Unruly Hair
As you know, I’m a curly haired girl. I LOVE my hair, and use various things to keep it soft and healthy, but it’s the type of hair that you can’t do anything with really. I mean it does it’s own thing and can’t be styled. To keep it from getting fly away, there are so many products that don’t work, but this lovely serum does. I use about three pumps in damp hair after washing and let it air dry, and voila! Beautiful, shiny, defined curls.
Sisley Black Rose Creme Mask
A little pricey, but worth it. I use this one regularly when my skin is a bit dull or thirsty (so it’s perfect in London’s skin drying Winter months). It’s beautiful. It smells divine, and really boosts your skins radiance and moisture. And I find that a little goes a long way, I don’t feel like I have to use loads to get the benefits.
Loreal Miss Manga Mega Volume Mascara
I have a friend who always jokes about how big my eyes are, and when I was sent this one as a sample last year, I was amused. But actually, this mascara has a great brush that gets all your lashes and defines, lifts and separates. I actually already have long lashes, so this one I find perfect. I do try others, but in the last year, I’ve found myself buying this one again and again.
Neals Yard Remedies Garden Mint and Bergamot Hand Cream
Every girl needs a decent hand cream, because as my mother always used to say, your hands give away your age first. I think there are a lot of great ones out there, but I came across this one, and fell for the scent of bergamot (that’s the floral scent you smell in Earl Grey tea) with the snap of mint. It’s just a really uplifting scent, and the cream really does nourish and soften.
Rimmel Lip Gloss Oh My Gloss in Ooh La La and Stay Glossy in 160 Stay My Rose
I always have a Chanel lipstick in my handbag, but lip gloss is a much more casual, every day wear, and these two have surprisingly become two shades for all occasions. I do layer them over lipstick if I’m going somewhere, but often I find myself just using one or the other quickly as I’m leaving the house or if the door bell unexpectedly rings. Ooh la la is a clear red, which gives you a warm colour without being too bold, and the Stay My Rose is, well, rosey, which goes with lighter coloured outfits. I love that they’re both non-sticky and leave lips moist and shiny.
Chanel No.5 Perfume
Everyone needs a signature scent. Mine is Chanel No 5. I wear it everyday, and I have for the last decade. Chanel often bring out variations on it, but I love the original. It feels vintage, classic and rich, and I love the way it smells different on different people. Sometimes I smell other perfumes that I love, but… I always come back to this one.
