Too Faced is a brand that’s taken the beauty world by storm. You see their products so often on beauty and makeup blogs, and with good reason. Here, I’ll be looking at their really popular Sweet Peach Eyeshadow Palette, and telling you what all the hype is about, as well as including one makeup look using the palette. There’s also a follow-up post on Friday, with more looks using the palette. Read on…
Isn’t this the cutest? The palette comes in a lush box, but the palette itself is tin, with this embossed peach pattern in the top. Too Faced packaging often has this kind of pretty, youthful style, but it all feels kind of lux at the same time.
When you open it up, the soft, candy scent of fresh peaches hits you. It’s not overpowering, it’s just delicious, and makes the whole feel of using their products feel kind of special. (They have different scents based on the theme of the item, their chocolate eye shadow palette was a huge hit).
The range of colours is really great. Some shades are really light for highlighting, and range through to the really dark, smokey shades. You can create some really amazing looks, based around the peach tones here. I love that the shades blend easily and last to well, and the colours are really true to the pan. What you see is the effect you get. Some of the colours have a little shimmer to them, others are matte, and they all have the cutest peach themed names: Candied Peach, Georgia, Luscious, Bellini…
Peaches & Cream
Included in the palette is a really gorgeous and easy to use guide, which tells you how to make three different eye shadow looks. The second two I will show you on Friday, in Part 2, those looks are really dramatic and smouldering… but here we have Peaches and Cream, a more nude, natural look.
This look takes a colour called Peaches n Cream (for obvious reasons) and sweeps it up to the brow bone. The lid takes a beautiful slightly bronzed colour called Caramelized, with the crease defined with a mid peach shade, the inner eye corner pops with a shimmering champange colour. A really easy and foolproof look that makes eyes pop, and flatters, but without looking too “done.”
