Lucky Lips: MUA Sweet Sheen Lip Balm

MUA is one of those cute brands in your local pharmacy that are fun to try or easy to dismiss. On the one hand, they’re cheap so you might doubt their quality or efficacy, on the other, they’re at a price point where you feel like you can pick up an “it product” to try without feeling like you’re wasting money.

Since some of my readers note that I tend to spend a bit on my makeup, I wanted to share this product with you, because I love it, and it’s super affordable at just £2.

Sweet Sheen Lip Balm in Rouge Rumba

I was given my first one of these in a gift box, and wasn’t expecting much from it. But I was pleasantly surprised.

It’s something between a lip gloss and a lip balm. The best of both, it moisturises lips like a balm, but also gives a sleek bit of shine without being sticky. It’s kind of a miracle product for me because with long hair, I hate having my hair stick to my lips in the wind!

Sweet Sheen Lip Balm in Cherry Bomb

It comes in a range of shades, from violet through pinks and reds. These two pictures are my favourite, Rouge Rumba, a true red, and Cherry Bomb, which is more a wine red or pink colour. As you can see, the shades are sheer when worn, but true to the colour on the tube.

I highly recommend these. They’re a great little handbag product, versatile and beautiful to use. And yes, only £2.
