OOTD: Retro Lockdown Casual with Betty and Veronica.

Dressing for 2020 seems to have been all about comfort. Perhaps emotionally as much as physically. But sweats and pyjamas all day doesn’t always make you feel positive or chic, even if it is cozy. This soft tee from Betty and Veronica and cute gingham capris are a cute, uplifting answer to at home style questions, so to speak.

Sadly, Betty and Veronica closed down, which means that this adorable Riverdale Racers tee with Betty Cooper and Veronica Lake whisking off on a retro vesper, isn’t on sale on their site anymore. But I still love all the things I’ve bought from them over the last few years. These epic butterfly shaped gold glitter shades are also from their site. I have them in black and white too. I absolutely love fun shades, and I think they really make you feel like a million bucks, even when there’s a pandemic. Cheerful and fun on the outside can sometimes lift flagging spirits.

Summer flowers in bloom

To complete this look, add watermelon earrings, like these, which are from Orlaith, click HERE. They were about $20aud, which is under $20usd. Also, this capri’s are a steal. I like them because they have a side zip, and crop at a nice place above the ankle, so they’re fresh and cool for Summer walks. Gingham says Summer and picnics to me. Also, these have a stretch to them, so they’re super comfortable. They’re from Le Chateau and you can find similar HERE under $30.

What cute but comfortable things are you finding to wear for Summer and lockdown? What’s keeping you cheerful?
