My Skincare Revolution: The Deep Cleansing Brush

Want good skin? Have you tried a brush?

I actually hadn’t before, though these brushes have been out for ages. I have combination skin, and I find that exfoliating about every third day tends to keep my skin pretty healthy. And sometimes I feel like these trends in beauty care can be just that: trends, not something that necessarily works.

Facial brushes though have been out for ages, and it looks like they’re definitely here to stay. I wanted to try one for a while, but the price was kind of an issue, and I wondered if I would just be buying a gimmick.

But, I was lucky enough to get a subscription to Glossybox for Christmas (thank you Cassie, if you’re reading this, you’re epic!). And one of them contained this facial brush, which if you’re thinking about buying one, is available at an excellent price point.

Spa To You Deep Pore Cleansing Facial Brush and Massager £6.99, which you can buy HERE.

You wet your face, and then apply your face wash or cleanser. Then you use the brush in little circles to work the cleanser over the skin, and gently exfoliate and stimulate the skin. And it does work! It feels a little weird at first, I think, but it’s kind of nice. And it leaves your skin feeling really sparkly and healthy. I’m really happy with mine.

It also comes with this cute little stand that the brush clips into, which makes sure that your brush is protected and can dry out properly.

Glossybox also included in the months box the Unani Il-luminate Milk Cleanser (£12 approx). It’s not a foaming cleanser, it’s the smoother kind, and works pretty well with the brush, so they make a good team. You can find more about this product on the Unani website HERE. It leaves skin feeling clean and healthy, without stripping or drying out the skin. And it smells nice. I like this product, and I’m thinking about trying out some of Unani’s other products.
